The Hindu Dakshineshwar temple (Kali temple) on the outskirts of Kolkata (Calcutta), West Bengal, India. This Hindu Kali temple built by Rani Rashmoni in 1847 CE is a world famous place of pilgrimage. The ascetic ‘Ramkrishna’ achieved his spiritual vision in this temple situated alongside the Vivekananda bridge and river Ganges, to the north of Kolkata. The twelve spired temple with its enormous courtyard is surrounded by twelve other temples dedicated to Hindu God Lord Shiva.
